Synopsis / Info

The setting is a regular, lightly modded Minecraft world, with a tight and confining world border that may or may not grow as players progress. The series has some light scripting, but almost all of the story and content is improved by the players themselves! This means no one will know who or when people die. No one will know if they're a victim, blackened, or a survivor! Not even us, the owners! Kind of.The series will progress like a normal Minecraft SMP up until a motive is given. When that happens, the owners will choose a blackened who needs to kill any other player in order to progress the story. After someone dies, the server will shut down for a short period to prepare a scene and evidence, as well as the trial. We will work with both the victim and the blackened throughout this break, ensuring all players have full control over their own character’s development. After this break, a body will be discovered and an investigation will take place, followed by a trial and execution.Players will be given “Truth Bullets,” which are bows are given throughout the investigation, titled as different pieces of evidence. Additionally, everyone will receive a book and quill containing basic information about the case and space to take notes.Class trials will be held in the different trial grounds located around the world. All players will have their spawn set to their podium, and their hp set to half a heart. To object in a trial, shoot a player you disagree with using the bow named after the evidence you wish to present. The discussion will then pivot to listen to what you have to say. In order to keep these trials running smoothly, we will choose a random person for each trial to be the main “support.” This person will get DMs containing hints from the owners, ensuring players stay on track. There will also be someone chosen as the “antagonist,” who will do their best to try and mess with the trial.At the end of the trial, players will vote for the blackened. If they vote correctly, the execution video we have prepared will be played and the server will return to normal. There will be no set protagonist, with every player recording their perspective, effectively making them the protagonist of their own story.Any behind the scenes communication is considered out of character. For example, if you are being fed information during a trial, you should not state that you are being given information, rather acting as if your character came to these conclusions themself. If you're confused as to what is considered in and out of character, feel free to DM an owner.We plan to have this SMP running anywhere from half a year to a year, so as to allow the story to progress at a smooth pace while also allowing time for flexible schedules and time for the owners and staff to plan.

Events

Our first server event is a vote on a new name! We wanted to build more of a community while we're getting started, and we figured what better way than to include everyone in naming our server and series! Danganronpa SMP is just a placeholder for now, and after the event has concluded, we'll update the name!
